Oftentimes when I post something on social media I feel some sort of embarrassment, being "public" on some hell-sphere platform made to pad the pockets of shareholders and be a net negative on society. Yet, I still yearn to share my (hopefully) amusing thoughts and observations in life, thus this website is born.
I enjoy TV like Star Trek, Xena, The Simpsons, Late Night TV Shows (Carson, Letterman, O'Brien) and various others I'll talk about at some point for sure. I enjoy sports, mostly soccer right now but football, hockey and baseball are up there too. I'm broadly into technology, I work in IT, coach soccer and love music.
My aim here is to entertain you and hopefully turn you on to new music, media and my interesting way of thinking.
"oldirtyforklift" has been my social media handle for almost everything for almost 15 years. I studied logistics in high school and one of my classmates was an aspiring rapper (in the most generous terms) and one day my classmates and I were riffing on warehouse logistics rapper names and oldirtyforklift rolled off my tongue and I knew it was the first time those words had been put together. That day an internet identity was born.
The output goal for this website is to have a new essay or "post" every month along with a few shorter ones thrown in.
